Hello world

This started out as an idea about trying out HTML5, CSS3 and MVC3, stuff i don't get the chance to work with on a daily basis. I make a living as a web-developer, mainly EPiServer CMS. First I wanted to make this site in EPiServer but their license model is nothing that i can cope with as a private project so I decided to go with N2CMS, a lightweight CMS framework and open source project. N2 had support for MVC3 and is really powerful! This is my "hello world" on the blog and I will try and describe what it this site will be all about!

My first post was supposed to be about the making of this site but when I started and realised this would be a bigger project than I first planned. I decided it would be best to get something out and then add features and functions when I get the time. I will write mainly on english, and maybe I will add functionality to support different languages (Swedish).

I'm trying to do this as a real project, were I use kanban for planning features, developing in Visual Studio and using modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery. On the backend side i use MySQL and NHibernate for data access. I asked my girlfriend Johanna to make the design and the logo and she has done a great job if you ask me!

I'm using git as SCM and I have prepared some posts about stuff I discovered as I went along. Before this project started I had never used git. In my daily work I was used to Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
